Since the release of several exciting Bethesda games to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox players are receiving access to some of the most beloved game series, and earlier today, Xbox announced that Octopath Traveler by Square Enix in collaboration with Acquire would be coming to Xbox as well later this month. Originally released as a Nintendo exclusive in 2018, now Xbox players will now have the exciting opportunity to explore the incredible world of Octopath Traveler, and those who have the Xbox Game Pass won’t have to worry about picking up the game either. The game will release on March 25 for the Xbox and Xbox Game Pass.
Players embark on a journey covering the stories of eight different characters. The turn-based game quickly became a fan favorite with Square Enix having to apologize for the lack of physical copies available. Styled after Medieval Europe, Bravely Default developers Takahashi and Tomoya Asano created characters with different classes, designs, and play bringing along with it a beautiful art style. The various paths players can take allow for hours of exploration in the world of Octopath Traveler. The characters begin in the land of Orsterra believed to be created by thirteen deities. Players must defeat one of these fallen deities Galdera and seal him once again in the afterworld in order to save the universe.
Finally, for those who want to learn more about the Octopath Traveler world, Octopath Traveler – Champions is the mobile game prequel to the main story. Setting the stage for the main game, the mobile version has its own original story and unique characters to play. The game will now be available on Nintendo Switch, PC, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
