Yesterday, developer and publisher KillSoft released an official announcement trailer for a crime game called The Shadow Syndicate. The game will be available on PC through Steam, and it has yet to be said if the game will be released on console. According to the description under the trailer on YouTube, the ideal release date for the game is in 2026. Players can gain more information on their official website as well as their X account.

The trailer shows off the stylized detective game that has animals as protagonists. The game is a third-person action and stealth game. The game takes place in the year 1933 in Brooklyn, and Sam Marlowe finds that his city is at the brink of chaos once his mentor, Adam, has mysteriously vanished.

According to the YouTube description, “Drawn into the mystery, Sam reluctantly teams up with Elo, the spirited daughter of the city’s mayor. Together, they begin to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy that implicates a shadowy organization. As Sam and Elo race against time, they must navigate a web of betrayal, expose the Syndicate’s sinister agenda, and ultimately stop a malevolent force from consuming the very soul of Brooklyn.”

There are different key features that players will be able to see once the game is released. Players will be able to investigate by discovering clues, interrogating NPCs, and solve tangram puzzles in the journal to unlock new story paths and expose the underground, secret group.

Players will be able to engage in combat with bullet-time, stealth takedowns, as well as also using supernatural abilities. The ring on Sam’s finger will allow him to teleport from place to place, stun, and also execute the enemy. Each power also comes with a curse that grows stronger over the course of the game. Players will also be able to upgrade their abilities over time.

Brooklyn is the city hub that players will return to once they carry out a mission. Players will be able to throw darts, play blackjack, or bowl with NPCs. Players can also engage in side quests.

Lastly, the developer of the game describes the content in the game like this, “This game contains frequent stylized violence and blood effects in a third-person shooter format.
