Developer Bitbox has announced that their online medieval survival game Life is Feudal will get an open beta next month. While the open beta is going on, the game is also going to be available on Steam Early Access. For those unfamiliar with the game, the MMO is an upgraded, expanded version of the 64-player survival RPG Life is Feudal: Your Own; as such, players who own a copy of LiF: YO will get one free character ticket for the Life is Feudal MMO.
Life is Feudal will be Bitbox’s realistic fiction sandbox MMO, “inspired by the medieval age” and “representing this time period with as much realism as possible” without being a total historical simulation. According to the LiF site, “Life is Feudal: MMO showcases Medieval life on a grand scale, allowing you and thousands of other players to dive into a living, breathing – and ever-evolving – world.”
MMORPG.com released a video back in April with footage from the first five hours of the game, along with a brief summary of the gamplay: “Starting as a peasant, players will need to gather resources to set up a camp and a campfire, then forage for food and build tools. Soon, players will socialize with one another, working together to gather resources and build a home. Finally, players working together will divide up duties, be it hunting, gathering, defending their village or attacking others.” You can take a look at the gameplay video below.
Life is Feudal‘s MMO open beta will launch on November 17th for the PC.
