Today, data miners have discovered the next expansion for Destiny 2 coming in the fall. The expansion is called Shadowkeep and it will send Guardians back to the moon which was a place you were able to go in the first game. According to the promotional image, “The next chapter in the Destiny experience arrives this fall as terrifying shadows descend upon a forgotten moon. Return to the lunar surface. Journey deep into a mysterious enemy citadel. Become a slayer of nightmares”. You can find more information on Shadowkeep on the Destiny website after Bungie shares more information on Thursday.
Data miners discovered Shadowkeep by going through the pc files of Destiny 2′s big update, Season of Opulence which was released today. Season of Opulence is the last update in the Destiny 2: Forsaken calendar which included The Black Armory and Season of the Drifter. The new season delivers new challenges, loot, and lore. Rewards are also able to be upgraded over time. Season of Opulence also has a new raid, Crown of Sorrows, which was also released today. The raid has Calus calling on Guardians for help in reclaiming his home from Hive minions.
