Everyone in the video game community is eagerly anticipating what Nintendo’s plans are for The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. They finally showed off and officially announced the Ocarina of Time remake, the movie is coming out next year. But, it looks like we don’t knpw everything following the announcement of this Direct. Here’s everything that was revealed during The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct.

The live-action Legend of Zelda movie is set to be released next year on April 30, 2027. Today, they revealed the movie’s title, which is called The Legend of Zelda. The movie  will be an original story that will reflect the entire series instead of a adaptation of one of the games in the series.

The Nintendo Museum will have a limited-time The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary ticket. The museum will have a special history board reflecting on all the games in the series. There is also a new photo op with the Master Sword and more starting on November 5. The Super Family Restaurant is set to open Fall 2026. Customers will be able to enjoy their meals surrounded by Nintendo characters including Link.

Other initiatives celebrating the 40th anniversary have been announced. This includes the Nintendo Museum Official Book Vol. 2, new amiibos, a playable Ocarina, a LEGO Link and Epona, Heroes of Hyrule figure collection, electronic Master Sword, and The Legend of Zelda HUZZLE.

In celebration of the franchise’s 40th anniversary, an official Zelda concert series has been announced. It will start in Japan in January before making its way to North America in starting in February, Europe starting in London beginning April 3, and Australia beginning in May.

 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake was showcased. There are a number of new features that have been added alongside the game’s new realistic visual style. There is new dialogue, an official jump button, and more including voice acting during cutscenes. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will also have Zelda notes functionality like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. There will be new amiboos as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is set to launch on November 5, 2026.

A The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary-themed Switch 2, Pro Controller, and carrying case has been announced and revealed. It will be available while supplies last starting on October 29, 2026.
