Localization studio Xseed games recently announced that the PC version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 2 will launch on February 14 during a live stream of the game. This stream will be the first time fans can get an extended look at the game running on PC. Unfamiliar viewers who tune in can get a sample of the combat, the exploration, and other activities that the JRPG had to offer.
This isn’t just a simple port of the game either; this version comes with a few more features than that of its console counterpart. The PC version of the game will feature 50% more lines of English voice acting than the original, ultrawide aspect ratio support, and a turbo mode that will allow players to finish the game faster than ever. And that’s not all; there is also an instant resume feature implemented within this version as well which will allow players to launch their latest save files directly from the Steam client.
This feature was added with the help of Durante, the modder who fixed Dark Souls on PC is also working closely with Xseed on this port. Trails of Cold Steel 2 will pick up only about a month after the first game’s events, and will focus on Rean’s quest to save his friends and put a war to an end. Its predeccesor Trails of Cold Steel was ported to PC last year. One last charming feature that the developers also added was that the game will recognize any save files from the first game so that characters will remember you within the sequel.
