After being available exclusively in its native Japan for well over two years, NIS American is finally stepping in to bring one of the most requested JRPGs to outside regions. The publisher has announced that The Legend of Heroes Trails into Reverie will, at last, make its debut outside of Japan in a worldwide release next Spring on July 7, 2023. The title will be coming to several platforms as well, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and the Epic Game Store.
Similar to other releases from NIS America, the title will be getting two different editions to commemorate the long-awaited launch. There’s the standard edition which will be available in both digital and physical form, and then there’s the collector’s edition. This version has the game, a hardcover art book, an official soundtrack, a novel, a steel book, an acrylic print, and they’re all housed in a nice collectors box. As we already mentioned, the game is being released for several platforms, so for those who are checking out the collector’s edition, you’ll be able to purchase it for your respective platform.
Just as we said earlier, the game originally launched back in 2020, specifically on August 27, 2020, for the PlayStation 4. It was then released for Steam and the Nintendo Switch on August 26, 2021. These releases were all in the title’s native Japan, where the main developer, Nihon Falcom, is based out of. Thankfully, the long wait for the latest installment of this long-running JRPG series to make its way to other regions is soon coming to an end.
