Yesterday it was revealed that the Last Of Us Part II Remastered is on its way to players. According to Insider Gaming, The Last Of Us Part II Remastered is launching in January 2024. This comes on the heels of the news being leaked that The Last Of Us Part II Remastered is coming to PS5 by PlayStation Game Size, a “reputable leaker”.

The January 2024 Launch was confirmed by Naughty Dog who is the the game developer for Last of Us. Johnathon Dornbush, the Editorial Content Manager of Naughty Dog had this to say on the PlayStation blog:
The team here at Naughty Dog is excited to announce The Last of Us Part II Remastered, the definitive way to experience the acclaimed The Last of Us sequel originally released in 2020. We’re thrilled to confirm you won’t have to wait long for it either; players can jump into Ellie and Abby’s emotional journeys on the PlayStation 5 console on January 19, 2024.
Along with the release of The Last Of Us Part II Remastered, the game will have a “roguelike survival mode” named “No Return”. Players will be able to choose from many characters “some playable for the first time in the Last Of Us franchise”. When you progress you will be able to unlock more characters and skins. The game will also have a “Guitar Free Play mode” which will have “unlockable instruments.”
The game will also contain enhanced graphics along with “native 4K output in Fidelity Mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K in Performance Mode, an Unlocked Framerate option for TVs that support VRR, increased texture resolution, increased Level-of-Detail distances, improved shadow quality, animation sampling rate” and so much more.
