The Impossible Game 2 has been announced for iOS and Android devices! Today marks its release for early access testing. This is a one-button platform game where players are challenged to navigate their cube through incredibly complicated levels that require extreme precision in order to complete. What makes it so addictive is the upbeat, exciting music that is played to match the mechanics of the level so the cube looks as though it is dancing through the levels. The original Impossible Game was released all the way back in 2009 when the genre of precision platform games was still in its early stages. It was first released on Xbox and has since then made its way to mobile.
The Impossible Game 2 will be an upgraded version mainly with an increase in the quality of its graphics. The original version had very simple graphics, so it was easy for other games in this genre to quickly outshine The Impossible Game. However, this new version suggests Fluke Games, the game’s developer, is dead set on distinguishing itself amongst its competitors. The game’s trailer below demonstrates a lot of the new mechanics that will be featured in the game which are all very creative and new to the platform genre.
A new multiplayer battle royal feature will be added where up to 60 players can race to the finish line. In addition, the developers are adding the option for players to make their own levels. The sample video on the game’s official website shows all the different features available. It looks like this will be a great creative outlet and will take some serious trial and error to create. There is some potential for players to make some seriously cool levels here. The official release date has not yet been announced, but there is a discord server for eager players to sign up for where information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
