It looks like we’re in for a full version of Horizon Forbidden West. The title was spotted on the Singapore ratings board site, which is known as the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA). However, it has been listed as “Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition,” which more than likely means that Guerilla Games preparing for an official announcement in which they reveal the new version of the title. Since then the listing was taken down, but since it is the internet, it’s already been thrown all over the place and is now fully in the minds of every Horizon fan out there.
In case you were wondering what a “Complete Edition” means, the removed rating listing states that this is a “compilation containing the original adventure game Horizon Forbidden West (Advisory 16) and Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores expansion.” This should come as no major surprise as Guerilla Games has done this before with the previous entry. They released the Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition in December 2017, which was less than a full year after the original base game launched in February 2017. That edition included The Frozen Wilds expansion and all other DLC that was released up to that point.
It appears that Guerilla will be following the exact same formula with Horizon Forbidden West, which is an excellent option for those who did not pick up the title when it launched in February 2022. The game was critically acclaimed upon release and is now considered one of the premier titles in the PlayStation Studio library umbrella. Since then it has gone on to sell more than 8.4 million copies, and bringing the lifetime franchise sales skyrocketing to more than 32.7 million worldwide. Hopefully Guerilla makes this Complete Edition official in the near future, as well as offering a release date.
