The Game Awards: New Action RPG Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Announced

During The Game Awards, a new action-RPG was announced in the DnD universe. Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is being developed by Tuque Games and is a spiritual successor to the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance series. It will be available for consoles and PCs in 2020.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will mix hack-and-slash combat and dungeon crawling elements. It can be played in either online or couch co-op for a total of four people. Speaking about the reveal, Jeff Hattem, Head of Studio at Turque Games said “from the moment I founded Tuque, our team has known that we wanted to bring our passion for D&D and creativity to the Dark Alliance series. We’re taking players on an epic journey through the harsh and violent, Icewind Dale, where they’re going to need to use their wits, their weapons and their party members to help them survive the iconic monsters we’re going to send their way.”

Nathan Stewart, Head of Franchise for Dungeons & Dragons said: “this all-new Dark Alliance will give players a visceral experience that drops them into the action of a Drizzt storyline like never before.”

Paul David Nuñez: I love to escape my reality with books, music, television, movies, and games. If I'm not doing anything important, I'm probably doing one of these things. P.S. The Matrix Has You
