One of the most surprising announcements just took place at The Game Awards 2023. Developer Arkane Lyon, and Marvel Entertainment, yes those guys, have teamed up to reveal, for the first time ever, Marvel Blade. The title, which is based off of the Marvel character, will be a third person action adventure title and will take place in Paris, France. Arkane is best known for developing the DEATHLOOP and Dishonored series.
The title is also being made with Blades’ 50th anniversary in mind, as the all time classic half human half vampire has been a long time mainstay in the entertainment industry. Arkane states that they have “just begun development on the game, which will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative.” As we already mentioned, the game will take place in Paris which as been quarantine due to a “supernatural emergency.” This is made evident in the trailer, which shows Blade getting a razor shave as the city goes into lockdown.
No release date or time frame was given but as we said the title is still very early in development.
