The Game Awards are set to return in a few weeks on December 8, 2022. Today, the nominees have been revealed. This year includes the new category of Best Adaptation which recognizes outstanding creative work that faithfully and authentically adapts a video game to another entertainment medium. This year has big a big one for the industry with several high-profile games getting released. God of War Ragnarok has the most nominations at 10. Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West have 7 nominations. Stray has 6 and A Plague Tale: Requiem has 5 nominations. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Immortality, Neon White, Sifu, Tunic, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 round out the most nominated games with 3. Vying for the title of Game of the Year 2022 includes A Plague Tale: Requiem, Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Stray, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The full list of categories and nominees is as follows.
