Two new monsters were revealed. The trickster Bihasten has a distinctive tail and fondness for persimmons which it stores in his stomach and hurls at its prey. He also has multiple tail attack options and powerful spin moves that will require hunters to stay on their toes. The other monster revealed was Somnacanth who is an intoxicating aquatic leviathan that can expel sleep powder to stun opponents, leaving them open for attacks. The trailer also showed snippets of the leviathan Royal Ludroth and the Great Wroggi who are both joining the roster of foes in Monster Hunter Rise. The new area, Flooded Forest will provide players the opportunity to explore and battle fierce monsters in an overgrown and water-logged setting.
Also revealed in the trailer were the new “Rampage” events that threaten Kamura village and its denizens. The residents and players will have to build up their defenses and prepare for the battle of their lifetimes.
