The Finals is an action video game that was published and developed by Embark Studios. The Finals is a multiplayer game where players “plug into the game’s virtual world and join teams in escalating tournaments. They fight it out in our beautifully rendered arenas based on real-world locations that they can alter, exploit, and even destroy.”
In the midst of reaching 10 million players, Patch Note 1.4.0 just came out on December 20th for the game. For Patch Note 1.4.0 many improvements were made like “balance and quality-of-life improvements” including:
Fixed an issue where Goo could block the player, Mesh Shield Health reduced to 1100 from 1250, Recon Senses activation cost reduced to 1 from 2, C4 max player damage reduced to 210 from 240, C4 max damage radius reduced to 1.6m from 2.4m, C4 self-damage multiplier increased to 1.3 from 1, Dome Shield health reduced to 300 from 350 and Gas Mine arming time added (1.6 seconds).
Other updates for Patch Note 1.4.0 include stopping the “Deathmatch game show” from taking place “in Bankit Mode,” boosting the “M11 damage” from 15 to 16, decreasing “instances where players” inadvertently “climbed on objects outside of the player’s view, Various fixes to contestant screens, Polish to the social screen, which now hides the Invite to party button when you are not the party leader and” so much more.
And now players can also get into the holiday spirit in The Finals Game and “tumble” throughout “snowy Monaco” along with acquiring “winter cosmetics” and there will also be “a gift waiting for them”. This holiday “in-game event” started on December 20th and is ending on January 3rd of next year. Only two weeks out and this game is proving that it is a force to be reckoned with it and it’s here to stay. If want to stay up to date with this game you can follow The Finals on X, their official website, and or go on to the game’s Steam page for updates.
