Ahead of the June release for the next major expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Elsweyr, comes the first DLC pack of the Season of the Dragon. The Wrathstone brings players not only a new four-person dungeon, but also new lore and gear. Check out our previous discussion on all that’s in store for the Season of the Dragon and the details for the upcoming Elsweyr.
An age-old Imperial exploration once uncovered the lost Ayleid city of Garlas Malatar and a fort was built at the ruin’s entrance. Fort Mistwatch was intended to protect, yet it only made it more difficult for the Imperials to escape an unknown power as they attempted to loot the mysterious ruins. What they had found had never been seen or heard of until now. A familiar face, Tharayya, will greet players after she has successfully found a way into the depths. Something else familiar may strike Oblivion players, as the site of Malatar “dungeon from the original game served as inspiration when building it in ESO.”
The wealth of this underground city will be dangerous, but the rewards are too tempting. The dungeon’s rewards include three new unique gears sets that will be dropped by all of the bosses. Healers will be grinding for the Blades Monster Mask to combine with the same set’s shoulders that can be acquired from the Undaunted guild. By doing so they will be given an additional boost to healing for allies with low health. The most notable will be the Light Armor set named Auroran’s Thunder. This powerful set gives players the ability to release a cone of lightning on foes when dealing direct damage. See the specific statistics and bonuses that are applied per piece of its gear below:
Wrathstone is coming soon for free to ESO Plus members and will arrive in the in-game store along with Update 21, which is a free update for all players. Adding to this, today marks the beginning of the Morrowind Celebration Event that runs through February 18. This event will produce double the drop rates in the Island of Vvardenfell along with sales on cosmetics and the Morrowind expansion.
