As the Season of the Dragon continues in The Elder Scrolls Online and after a successful launch of the Wrathstone DLC and Elsweyr expansion, the developers at Zenimax are not slowing down. This season was promised with loads of content when we discussed the early news on the Elsweyr Chapter a few months back and now we have details for those DLC. These are going to be called Scalebreaker and Dragonhold, which definitely continue the overarching theme of dragons and danger that has surrounded ESO players in 2019.
Scalebreaker, the next major content drop, will be opening up two new dungeons for guilds to explore with Moongrave Fan and the Lair of Maarselok. Not only will these pose challenges like any other dungeon and reward new gear, but they will feed into the Season of the Dragon storyline. This is something the developers have shown continued focus on, continuing the lore and bringing that into the forefront of every new release. This DLC pack will obviously include dragon fights, but players will also discover that the Halls of Colossus was not the only vaulted location concealing the dragons for the past age. Scalebreaker is set to arrive in Quarter 3 of this year.
Next up will come Dragonhold and this will finish off the Season of the Dragon in late 2019. As the final DLC of the year, it plans to answer that question that’s been asked by Elsweyr players: Why just Northern Elsweyr? Well, Dragonhold introduces the area of Pellitine in Southern Elsweyr to fill up the map of Tamriel even more. Instead of being a dungeon DLC, this “zone DLC” will bring more Delves, World Bosses, dragon events, weapons and armor, and quests to continue the narrative. Heroes must survive this lawless place that has been plagued by a horrific disease for nearly 20 years and most importantly “put an end to the Dragon menance before it threatens to engulf all of Tamriel.”
