Having seen its fair share of server issues in the very recent past, popular urban warfare game, The Division, shut down its servers yet again yesterday–but not because of crowding issues, or even door jams. Developers at Massive Entertainment took the time to implement a patch called 1.0.2 Update. Not only is the game a crowning jewel for developers, but is also publisher Ubisoft’s most successful game to date…and it’s only been a month since its initial launch! It is refreshing to watch both invest time to continue quality upkeep of their product.
As of yesterday The Division is back up, and can be accessed for everyone’s PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Hopefully the update allowed some of the most hardened of players to get some laundry done.
Alterations we can look forward to from 1.0.2 update are quite a few major and minor fixes. NPC are no longer respawnable in open world areas, meaning once enemies are killed off, they aren’t coming back (say goodbye to Bullet King). Players are also now able to heal in the Dark Zone. Speaking of the DZ, have you ever wanted to fast travel there? Well, you can now, thanks to Massive Entertainment.
Have you tried to speed run through Comm Relay missions? Devs see what you did there–and it’s not allowed anymore. The patch also brought a lot of minor improvements that will make players everyday life in The Division a lot simpler, such as adding more meat to map details in Daily Missions, and fixing a TON of bugs concerning weapons and grenades, as well as simple graphics and audio improvements to boot. Localized for Playstations, Xboxes, and PCs took place alongside everything else.
Overall, the improvements made will only continue to bring more players to the game. Already, it has quickly risen to one of the most bought and played contemporary online games–even usurping Bungie’s/Ubisoft’s sci-fi, fantasy, Destiny, in sales. Things are looking up for ol’ Ubisoft.
Enjoy all the changes in The Division for your PS4, Xbox One, or PC!
