Ubisoft has released a new trailer ahead of the release of The Division 2′s next major update coming tomorrow, April 5. The update is going to introduce the Tidal Basin stronghold and World Tier 5 which will bring in new activities, weapons, and gear sets. The trailer also brushed upon what players can expect in the future as part of The Division 2′s first batch of free post-launch updates, Invasion: Battle for DC.
Tidal Basin is run by the Black Tusk faction who appears during the endgame of The Division 2. It is the most heavily defended and dangerous stronghold in the game.
After conquering the Tidal Basin stronghold, players will be able to advance to World Tier 5 which increases the gear score cap to 500. The new Tier also introduces weekly invasions which have the Black Tusk taking control of main missions and strongholds across DC. These have a chance to offer The Division 2′s best weapons and gear.
2 new exotic weapons and 3 new gear sets are coming into the game. The two new exotic weapons are Pestilence, a light machine gun, and Nemesis, a sniper rifle. The 3 new gear sets, Hard Wired, Ongoing Directive, and True Patriot will provide specific bonuses for new playstyles.
The first Apparel Event is also coming tomorrow. These will allow agents to collect outfits inspired by enemy factions as well as new maks and weapon skins. A new PVP map, Fort McNair, is also coming tomorrow.
The next title update, Operation Dark Hours will bring in The Division 2′s first-ever 8 player raid. The update will also add the first Classified Assignments which is a Year 1 Pass exclusive.
Title update 4 will also be big as it will introduce the 4th specialization and its signature weapon which looks like a minigun.
