Ubisoft recently announced that the upcoming sequel The Division 2 will be getting private beta. The beta is set to start early next month, but at the initial announcement, they gave little to no information as to what features of the game a few fortunate players will be able to test out come February.
However, today the publisher came forth and gave fans some insight about whats to come in this private beta. Players will get to experience two main missions as well as several side missions stemming from the game. In addition to this, participants will also get to see three new Dark Zones shown off as well as some PvP gameplay within a new mode titled Skirmish.
A section of endgame content will be contained within the beta in the form of an Invaded mission which will be available on February 8 at 1 AM PT. It should also be noted that players will be able to progress and level up within the demo but once they reach level 30 their characters will be capped off from advancing anymore. Additional activities will also be available within the game’s open world. This will be a good chance to give players a look at the new setting for the sequel.
The game’s predecessor was set in New York, but this time around the game will be set in Washington DC. The Division 2 will also focus more on the choices that the player makes and how they impact the story and the world as a whole. The beta starts on February 7 at 1 AM PT and will go on for a total of 4 days. Fans eager to dive into the game will be able preload it 24 hours before its scheduled start time. The Division 2 will oficially launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC March 15.
