“Become what you’ve always wanted to be, a bloodlusted cult leader with an army of grotesque monstrosities.” Assemble your own monstrous team of creepy creatures and have them fight against your rivals in Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2. There are four cults you can choose from at the start of the game: “Secta Daemonum (Demon), Secta Mortuorum (Undead), Secta Spirituum (Spirit) or Secta Cryptidarum (Cryptid).” Each one has their own advantages, relics, and playstyles; choose the one that speaks to you and form your forever family. However you strategize, “your way is the right way and only way to live.”
Make your way up the ranks by dominating the other cults in 3v3 gory turn-based battles that rely on your skills and methods to win. A combination of attacks, special abilities, defensive maneuvers, and tactical item usage is the key to leveling up and defeating your foes. By using blood and grisly ingredients, you can summon and bind Creepy Horrors to do your bidding.
If one of your little Creepy Horrors is just falling short in their strength and abilities, you can dismember it and save the best parts for another soldier. Body parts like eyeballs, ligaments, and any creepy parts unique to each character can be applied to other Horrors to create “bigger, better, death-fueled monstrosities.” In the decaying town of Hunter’s Haven, the more unsightly the Horror, the better.
Developer Dillo Interactive has a collective of hand drawn horrors to select from and play Dr. Frankenstein with. Some notable characters based off of folklore that make an appearance in this game are: Hell Hound, Imp, Wendigo, Wisp, and Jimothy (the racoon from Seattle).
