The Atari VCS is Now Available For Pre-Order

Since last year, the Atari reboot has been relentlessly teased in announcements, trailers, and numerous articles. Having reached almost year since its announcement, the Atari remake is finally available for preorder; bringing us that much closer to the rebirth of retro, or “retro revival” as one fan puts it.

The Atari is a well known classic console that is both nostalgic and forever legendary. With the arrival of its younger generation, the Atari VCS will provide all the playable classics and promises to fulfill what the fans have been impatiently waiting for. However, it’s completely understandable that waiting for the console is basically torture, so fans are at least shown mercy as they are now able to pre-order the beautiful machinery. Speaking of beauty, the Atari has definitely faced some pleasing cosmetic changes. Compared to its elder, the newer console presents a sleek and simple modern take that ingeniously holds its classic elements. But let’s be honest, Atari fans aren’t buying the console just because it looks nice.

The classics are back and they are more retro than ever. What’s wonderful about the Atari VCS is that not only will it allow players to access they’re favorite, classic childhood video games, but they will be able to experience integrated modern gaming features such as an organized gaming vault and online multiplayer. This may be the Atari, famously known for strictly operating with a joystick, but now players can utilize a PC compatible controller as well. It should be appreciated that the remake of the console has remained true to its originality, while maintaining amazing additions to its features.

Needless to say, the Atari VCS is a fantasy come true. However, taking on this project is a bold and risky venture. But the long wait seems to be well worth it, for it is pleasing in both design and playability. Fans can pre-order the console for $299. Add-ons, such as controllers and joysticks, will be additionally priced.
