Telltale’s Batman Game Coming Digitally In August

According to Gamespot, Telltale’s upcoming Batman game will launch digitally for consoles, PC, mobile systems. Telltale will release more information as well as the date sometime next week via the world premiere trailer.

Gamespot also confirmed today that the new Batman game will be available on a physical disc on September 13 in North America and the 16th in Europe. This physical copy will be a rendition of a season pass disc. This package will include the first of five episodes and as the year goes on owners will be able to download the remaining four over the internet as they become available.

Warner Bros. is publishing and distributing the physical game, and will have it available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.  According to Telltale, via gamespot, during the July 23 Comic-Con, Batman voice actor Troy Baker will appear at an event and panel where the game will be played as a part of a showcase demo. In a cool twist Telltale will be accepting shout out answers from the crowd for the demo.

Telltale has made a name for itself with the release of their emotion twisting episodic adventures. They are brilliantly animated, written with thought, and compels the player to think about their actions in a way that most games can’t deliver. To see a Batman skin thrown on this style should bring with it a wonderful story and gameplay.

The entire community will just have to wait and see.
