Following the release of the most recent update for iOS, iOS 9, Telltale Games has removed many of its titles from the App Store.
Games like Back to the Future, A Wolf Among Us, and The Walking Dead are no longer available on the App Store due to the removal by the publisher for many difficulties that have occurred while attempting to play the games on the operating system.
Many of these issues included crashing, freezing, and lack of sound, this coming from a team of Telltale’s support staff. Telltale is currently searching for possible solutions and they have said that the removal of the games would only be temporary while a solution is found.
For players who have already purchased these games they will be able to re-download them.
Telltale joins a growing list of publishers that are removing their products from the App Store which includes Capcom and 2K Games. All publishers have claimed technical difficulties with the iOS operating system and their products. It should also be noted, much like Telltale, the other publishers have said that they will eventually return their products to the App Store. Right now there is no set timetable for their return.
