Tango Debuts Ghostwire: Tokyo During the Bethesda E3 Press Conference

During Bethesda’s E3 press conference, Shinji Mikami, head of Tango Gameworks, came out to debut the studio’s next game. The game, titled Ghostwire: Tokyo, is set to be a horror action adventure game that takes place in Tokyo, Japan. People all around the city appear to be going missing due to some supernatural occurrence.

Accompanying the announcement was a short teaser trailer. The trailer showcases a photo-realistic Tokyo as people disappear just leaving their clothes behind. It also showed off what appears to be some supernatural enemies including a man in a demon mask, some dark, glowing figures, and a glimpse of a serpent-like monster with glowing eyes. The trailer then ends with what appears to be the protagonist using a bow and appears to use some sort of supernatural power that causes a massive explosion. Unfortunately, no release window or date was revealed for the game.

Zachary Dalton: I have a major passion for video games, the stories they tell, and writing about them. Avid believer that video games present the best storytelling opportunities out of any media, and that needs to be conveyed. Former competitive Pokemon player. Attended university to study game development. Wouldn't be who I am today without games.
