Take-Two Interactive released their Q3 2022 Financial report on February 8, 2022. This update provided some major news for some of their most popular games including GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. GTA V is the seventh game in the entire Grand Theft Auto series and was released by developer Rockstar in 2013. Since that time, the game has received many updates that have included new content for the players. The updates and releases have led to the game reaching a milestone of 160 million copies sold!
In addition to the total number, GTA V has recently hit a total sales count of over $1 billion since it was released almost nine years ago. Rockstar is currently developing a GTA V game for the new generation of consoles that is expected to be released sometime in March. This development will surely add even more to the total sales numbers for the already historic game! In addition to the updated GTA V for new consoles, the development of GTA VI has already begun and is also expected to be released sometime in 2022. Despite the expectation of a new game, GTA V fans should not expect any slowing of sales within the coming months.
GTA V is the best-selling title of the past decade, reaching $1B in sales faster than any entertainment release across gaming and any other entertainment-related industry. With the next gen release on deck, expect those numbers to climb even further 📈 pic.twitter.com/hTnvvNvryI

Although not nearly as large of a name as GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 has also sold very well since it has been released. Since its release back in 2018, the game, which was developed by Rockstar Games, has sold over 43 million copies. This game comes as a sequel to the hit game Red Dead Redemption and takes players through a fictional representation of 1899 as they play as Arthur Morgan. Similar to the expected sales of GTA V, fans of the Red Dead Redemption series should not expect any fall off of sales during this coming year as Rockstar is expected to continue updating the game for time to come!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is officially now the 10th best selling game title of all time after today’s sale results, now beating the Nintendo version of Tetris.
Congratulations to everyone who worked on this game! pic.twitter.com/TIPxWh7aGd
