This last weekend, Austin based super convention SXSW (“South by Southwest”) hosted their annual Game Awards ceremony. The event was hosted by Esports Host Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico and popular Youtube personality Séan “Jacksepticeye” William McLoughlin.
The categories were for the most part what we have come to expect from most game awards, and a few unique categories, such as a Voice Award, Enduring Character, Online Personality, and a Table Top category.
Most of the awards were coveted by famous big name games, which had previously won several other awards, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, and Undertale. No surprises there!
