In Swarm VR, players must fight back against a horde of robotic aliens looking to destroy the world. Players will use a pair of guns that also double as grappling hooks that can be used to swing around the level. Players are also able to slow down time in order to dodge incoming attacks and perfectly aim their shots. There are multiple options for taking out enemies as players will have access to rocket launchers, lasers, and Zip, a special move that allows players to beat down enemies while flying across the level. The game features twenty-five levels in five different zones featuring a cell-shaded art style. Swarm VR is meant to be a challenging experience, has a high skill ceiling just like the arcade games of the past, and like those games players will be able to compete for high scores on the global leaderboards. Additionally, Greensky Games plans to regularly add weekly challenges and level modifiers to keep the game fresh and interesting.
Swarm VR is now available for download on the Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest. The game is available for $24.99 and supports cross-buy between the two Oculus consoles. Swarm VR will also launch on both Steam and PSVR later this year. Those without an Oculus are able to wishlist the game on Steam in order to be notified when it releases on that platform.
