A new photo-realistic horror game released this week. DON’T SCREAM! is a survival horror game based on the 90’s camcorder found footage genre.
Developed by Digital Cybercherries on the Unreal Engine 5, DON’T SCREAM! taks players to survive a night within a haunted forest without making any noise or dying. As players are maneuvering around the forest, keeping their camcorder powered with batteries scattered around the map is a must.
No playthrough will be exactly the same thanks to dynamic scares and a variety of nefarious creatures hunting you down. Players are encouraged to use a microphone for this game, as it is a pivotal mechanic for the game’s gameplay.
Additionally, game time moves only whenever the player moves, so in order to finish the night taking breaks should be held to a minimum. While manu ering across the forest and the many dangers lurking within, players may also come across clues that could potentially piece together the mystery surrounding the forest’s past.
DON’T SCREAM released on October 28, 2024 for PC via Steam. In celebration of its release Digital Cybercherries launched a major update that improved much of the game’s gameplay and visuals, and expanded the forest to include over 40 locations for players to check out.
