Warner Bros and Traveler’s Tale’s have just revealed the PlayStation 4 exclusive figure, Supergirl for Lego Dimensions. According to IGN, Supergirl will be included with the PlayStation 4 startup pack for a limited time. Her availability starts in September. During this limited availability, she will be included as a bonus mini figurine with Batman, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf.
Lauren Galloway of comic book resources says that the announcement was made during the gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. This is not the only exclusive DC minifigure to be released. According to IGN, the Green Arrow figure was leaked with Supergirl in April.
In addition to the Supergirl figurine, Kara Zor El will be fully playable. According to an official press release from Warner Bros, all of her abilities will remain intact in Lego form. She can fly, she can shoot lazers, and she can even transform into her Red Lantern form. In this special state, Supergirl has the powers of the Lantern Corps, granting her the ability to shoot energy beams and create lantetn constructs.
DC and Warner Bros have a history of including exclusive content to Sony Platforms. The 2009 title, Batman Arkham Asylum, had Joker mission maps exclusively on PlayStation 3. And most recently, the PlayStation 4 version of Batman Arkham Knight had exclusive content such as 1970’s Batman skin.
According PlayStation.blog, Supergirl will be available with a brand new feature called “Hire a Hero.”
This marks Lego Dimensions’ second year of content. starting in September, Lego Demensions is bringing brand new story modes, multiplayer modes, and franchises to players. Among the featured licenses are Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the recent remake of Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, Gremlins, and Sonic the Hedgehog. All the first year content will also be included.
