In celebration of the series’ 30 year anniversary, Bandai Namco has announced Super Robot Wars 30. For the first time, the series will be available in North America and Europe. Super Robot Wars brings together mechs and characters from plenty of other popular Japanese series to fight each other in strategic ways. This announcement included a trailer for the upcoming game, and a release date of October 28, 2021, on Steam for PC.
This game, which is the first installation in the Super Robot series in a decade, features many well known series. In the past, licensing for these different franchises has been an inconvenience, but clearly that hurdle was jumped for Super Robot Wars 30. Super Robot Wars 30 retails at $59.99, but other versions with more features and content are also available for $84.99 and $104.99. It is available for preorder on Steam for the PC now, but no news has been yet announced for other platforms in North America and Europe, despite that availability in other territories. More updates will likely occur between now and the date of launch, but for now fans of large robots and large fighting robots in North America and Europe have plenty to which to look forward.
