The release date for the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations was revealed by Sega during the 2024 Summer Game Fest alongside a new trailer. Sonic and Shadow fans will only have to wait until this October to get the game.
Sonic X Shadow Generations lets players take the role of Shadow, the ultimate lifeform as he battles against his old nemesis Black Doom. With his newfound Doom Powers, players can relive many of Shadow’s iconic moments as he battles new hordes of enemies.
Players can also experience remasters of the 2D and 3D hit Sonic Generations, which features new bonus content.
According to the press release, in addition to it’s standard versions players can purchase Sonic X Shadow Generations’ Physical Day One Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition.
The Physical Day One Edition gives PlayStation 4 and 5 players access to extended Prologue Animations with deleted scenes alongside the base game.
The Digital Deluxe Edition gives players the Physical Day One Edition’s features alongside three day early access, an extra Shadow skin and level, a Terios Skin, extra music from previous Sonic and Shadow games, a digital Art Book and Soundtrack, and Skill Points from Sonic Generations.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to release on October 25, 2024 for can play for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch and PC. Pre-orders are also available, with unique rewards based the game’s edition.
