Today, Geoff Keighley has announced the return of Summer Game Fest is set for June 5, 2026. This year will be a little different as it will be taking place from the iconic Dolby Theatre after livestreaming from the YouTube theater the last few years. According to Keighley, this upcoming Summer Game Fest will be “a spectacular, cross-platform showcase of what’s next in video games.” Public tickets for Summer Game Fest 2026 will be available starting in Spring 2026.
Year after year, both Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards have grown in viewership year after year. Summer Game Fest 2025 saw more than 50 million livestream viewers, which marks the highest viewership on record. The viewership has increased every year since its debut back in 2020.
This past year saw the first look at Ryu Ga Gotoku’s new game, a Wu-Tang game, mutiple IO Interactive game crossovers, a sequel to the Scott Pilgrim game, and the first official look at the highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem.
The Game Awards 2025 are set to take place on December 11.
