Summer Game Fest will be immediately be followed by Day of the Devs: SGF Edition. Day of the Devs was established in 2012 by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit as a way to give back to their supportive communities by celebrating the creativity, diversity and magic of video games, give voice to emerging or underrepresented talent, and to connect players with developers, and their games.
Earlier this year, Day of the Devs went fully independent and revealed its initial lineup of events for 2024 which Day of the Devs: SGF Edition is a part of.
Also returning is SGF Play Days, an invite-only media and influencer event in downtown Los Angeles which will take place from June 8-10. Public tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster starting on May 7 at 9 am PT. The organizers also teased “other livestreams and events,” with additional announcements in the coming months.
