It’s probably news to most of you, but Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is, somehow, still going. However it seems that this shocking news will be outdated pretty soon, as the latest DLC character to be added to the game will be Deathstroke and, if sources are correct, he will be the final character added to the game as Suicide Squad will cease all post-launch content on January 14th, 2025.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League final post-launch season update is January, 14 2025. All online features will continue to be available and an offline mode is available. Game will continue to be available for purchase.https://t.co/kdiqMfn39t

While the game will be, effectively, discontinued from January 14th onward, online functionality will be retained. The game will also still be available for purchase, it’s not going to be pulled from the shelves or anything. As part of the season 4 patch there will also be an added offline functionality to allow players to play Suicide Squad by themselves.
On top of this, the in-game store will also be retaining functionality, though obviously nothing will be added to the store after the Deathstroke update, so if there is a skin or a character that you want then the ability to purchase them will not be taken away from you.
For the most part, the story of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of disaster, no doubt Rocksteady wanted this game to last quite a while, but it will be closing its digital doors in less than a year. After WB’s baffling decision to focus more on GAAS model games, this failure as well as the failure of Mortal Kombat 1 likely does not reflect very well on WB’s business plans for the year, after a pretty impressive 2023 WB’s 2024 is one of absolute embarrassment. Hopefully for Rocksteady, Netherrealm Studios, and all the other developers under the Warner Brothers umbrella the course will be corrected before the ship is too deep underwater to salvage.
