Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Was Pulled Offline Less Than An Hour After Early Access Release

Rocksteady has taken Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offline after its launch for players in New Zealand who purchased the Deluxe Edition.

According to VGC, the game was online for less than an hour before being pulled after players experienced a bug where the game achieved full completion as soon as they logged in for the first time.

The game releases in full on Feb. 2, but players who own the Deluxe Edition for an extra $30 have access 72 hours early. It is not clear when they will be back up, but it seems that it will take some time.

“We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion,” the official Twitter for the game said. “To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers.”

“During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information,” it finished.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a rocky road to release, with multiple delays, leaks, controversy over its live-service elements, and negative early reactions. This adds yet another setback in the lead-up to the full launch.

According to IGN, review codes for the game were not sent to outlets ahead of time, so these early access players are the first ones testing out the game. The game should be back online soon, but it’s a rough start to Rocksteady’s new release.
