Styx: Blades of Greed Official Cinematic Reveal Trailer Released

Yesterday on March 7th, developer Cyanide Studio and publisher Nacon released a trailer for their upcoming game Styx: Blades of Greed. The trailer was released during Nacon Connect, which is an online conference organized by Nacon. Styx: Blades of Greed is planned to be released in the fourth quarter of this year, and it will be available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, on on PC through Steam.

The cinematic trailer shows the main character will be playing as in the game named Styx, the master of stealth. Through the trailer, the players are shown Styx’s abilities that will be used in the gameplay such as controlling human’s bodies, slowing down time, and placing down a smoke bomb of sorts.

The objective of Styx: Blades of Greed is to steal the Quartz, the most precious and yet the most dangerous resource in the world that is on the brink of war between elves, humans, and orcs. Styx wishes to pursue his own goal in creating his own crew to hunt down the powerful Quartz. Players will encounter familiar faces from previous games as well as new colorful characters.

Players will also be able to craft their own weapons and potions before executing their next scheme. There will be many abilities to obtain by the Quartz, two of them being Cloning, Invisibility, and Mind Control. There will be many stealth related puzzles to solve in more than one way.

Styx: Blades of Greed will also be a free roam game where players can explore the vast lands. There will be three open environments called The Wall, the boundary of the human world, Turquoise Dawn, a small village, and Akenash, the Ruins of the elven capital.

According to the Steam page, “Styx: Blades of Greed refines the proven formula of the first two games by making freedom and creativity central to the experience. Explore vast vertical environments and master new tools and powers. Whether you’re discovering Styx for the first time or you’re a longtime fan, it has never been so exciting to be greedy!”
