Style on Enemies Mid Nap as Zelda in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Zelda is back, but this time she’s going to have to endeavor on this latest adventure on her own. In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Hyrule is under attack by mysterious rifts to something called “the Still World”, and both the king of Hyrule and Link himself have been shunted to this alternate world and so it’s up to Princess Zelda herself to use her wits and her magic to free them and Hyrule as a whole.

The gameplay for Echoes of Wisdom looks incredibly interesting. By storing and placing echoes she finds across the Still World, Zelda can summon these items and creatures to create platforms and solve various puzzles she comes across. Interestingly enough, she can also summon these echoes during fights and even bosses to assist her there too, these range from summoning monsters to help you attack the boss to summoning a bed to take a quick nap while you’re styling on your opponents. This even extends beyond echoes, as Zelda can use machines and gizmos created by Dampé to help her, each with unique effects of their own. Between the echoes and the automatons, Echoes of Wisdom might be in the running for being the most robust “summoner mage” video game ever made.

But Zelda’s capabilities don’t begin and end at summoning echoes and machines to assist her. Zelda herself can mix it up in melee combat if she so chooses, by using the swordfighter form Zelda takes on a form that emulates Link’s classic moveset and allows Zelda to fight alongside the echoes she summons.

Of course, the trailer ends with one heck of a stinger, as Link is revealed to be mind controlled by something, and proceeds to attack Zelda. An intense ending to a trailer featuring innovative and fun gameplay while being a rare occasion to play as Princess Zelda herself, Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom looks to be a fantastic experience for all those interested. If you are one of those people, be sure to check out Echoes of Wisdom as it launches on September 26th of this year for the Nintendo Switch.
