We are only a week away from Street Fighter 5’s official February 16th launch and we are still getting new information about the game’s DLC. Although the list of downloadable fighters was already revealed, it looks like Alex from Street Fighter 3 will be the first one released. No specific release date was announced, but fans can play the Street Fighter 3 favorite sometime in March. There has been much demand for Alex to return for a Street Fighter game, his last appearance was in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in 2008, and it looks like fans will finally get their wish.
We can confirm that Alex will be the first DLC character and he will be available in March! #StreetFighterV #RiseUp

The other DLC characters already announced were Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien, and their release dates are uncertain at this point. The DLC characters have a good balance of characters from Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3, and Street Fighter 4. We can also anticipate Street Fighter 5’s Story Mode DLC coming this summer, plus alternative costumes for those who preorder the game.
In another announcement, Capcom revealed that Street Fighter 5 for the PS4 will be compatible with PS3 controllers. This is great for players who want to include another player but don’t want to buy a brand new PS4 controller. Hopefully we will see this feature in future PS4 games because backwards compatibility is a great thing. Street Fighter 5 also has cross-platform play between the PS4 and PC versions.
Additionally, the final version of #StreetFighterV (on PS4) will be compatible with PS3 controllers.

It looks like Street Fighter 5 will provide plenty of content for fighting game fans, and we can get a better sense of what the game offers when it’s released next week.
