Stray Kite Studios Releases Wartorn Trailer

Stray Kite Studios, who previously released Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep and the lead designers of Bioshock as well as the creative director of Borderlands 2, recently announced and released trailer for their new upcoming game Wartorn. The game is set to release for Early Access in spring of this year according to the Steam page. There has not been an exact date as of yet. As of now, the game is also set to release on PC, there have not been any details relating to console releases.

The trailer shows off the ancient fantasy world and the creatures inhabiting that world. It also reveals some of what the gameplay will look like. At the end of the trailer, we also hear some voice acting as well.

Wartorn is a single-player, fantasy roguelite game with tactical gameplay. According to the Steam page, the summary of the game is as follows: “Harness the elements in fierce real-time battles while gathering and upgrading a crew of fantasy creatures in this rogue-lite adventure across a world torn apart by war.”

According to fullsync, Stay Kite Studios’ CEO Shovaen Patel said, “Our vision for Wartorn is a game that seamlessly blends artistic expression, tactical depth, and emotional resonance. We want players to feel like every choice matters, both on the battlefield and in the story.”

According to fullsync, the player will be in control of two sisters named Yara and Elani, who travel  across the Isles of Talaur. Their goal is to gather up a team of powerful fantasy creatures to have safety at their ancestral fortress.

The game is set to tell an emotional story with the two sisters reuniting with their family. Some of the game features consist of being able to create an army of fantastical creatures such as elves, goblins, and demons, each with his or her unique elemental power. The player will need to make tough decisions due to unexpected events throughout their journey in the Isles of Talaur.
