PlayStation has revealed its lineup of free games for January that PlayStation Plus members can get if they want to. The lineup is headlined by Steep and Portal Knights for the PlayStation 4. PlayStation 3 owners can get Zone Of The Enders HD Collection and Amplitude, while PlayStation Vita owners have the opportunity to get Fallen Legion: Flames Of Rebellion, which is a cross-buy title with the PlayStation 4, and Super Mutant Alien Assault. These games will be available on January 1, 2019, to February 5, 2019.
Steep allows you to drop into the most epic mountains, and ski, wingsuit, snowboard, and paraglide your way to victory. This game is for those looking for a little excitement this winter season. You get to ride a massive open world across the Alps either solo or with other players. You “create your own path through the massive open world” and you can “share your best custom lines with friends.” Steep is also full of many unique and spectacular challenges that can prove that you are king of the mountain.
In Portal Knights, you and your friends are invited to “explore dozens of randomly-generated islands.” The game features several RPG character classes such as the warrior, ranger, and mage. You’ll get to engage in tactical action combat and partake in epic boss battles. You also have the option to create your own island with Creative Mode, and you can also play Portal Knights with up to 4 players cooperatively or in 2 player split screen.
There is also a special Warframe: PlayStation Plus Booster Pack III that is free for PS Plus members until January 15, 2019. The pack includes 100 platinum, 10,000 credits, Quanta the laser rifle, a Quanta Obsidian skin, a 7-day affinity booster, and a 7-day credit booster. Any PlayStation 3 and Vita owners only have three more months of free games as part of the free games lineup for PlayStation Plus members. Sony announced that they are going to drop these two consoles from the lineup starting in March 2019, so anyone who owns either console should get their free games while they can.
