Steam’s Wholesome Games Celebration is right around the corner and one cozy game that players don’t want to miss out on is Capy Castaway. A narrative exploration game where the main protagonist, a capybara pup, and their crow fiend must work together to solve puzzles and help their fellow animal friends.

This cozy adventure can be done solo or with one other friend as a split-screen style co-op. The main premise of the game is that a flood has swept various zoo animals from their home. A disaster that brings the capybara pup, Capy, to the shores of Castaway Island where they meet Corvithe clever crow.

Together, they explore the mysterious island and lend a helping hand to the inhabitants. As players explore, they will uncover the story of Castaway Island and make memorable friendships. Since the game does involve two playable characters exploring the island, players who choose to take on this adventure solo will take control of both Capy and Corvi.

How they choose to explore the island and interact with the islanders will effect the narrative. It is a game where choices matter. Players can choose to help out the locals and their fellow zoo Castaways or not. However, their decisions will effect the story they are shaping.

Each character has their own unique set of abilities. Capy can sniff, dig, swim, and interact with various curious items. Meanwhile, Corvi can fly, retrieve useful objects, and can lift Capy. There are also fun world items for players to interact with such as musical instruments, snacks, sandcastles, hats, and so much more to uncover!

There will be two bundles available on Steam at launch, which is August 6th (start of Wholesome Games Celebration). The Supporter Pack includes a 10% discount with the game’s original soundtrack and digital art book. The Deluxe Pack includes a 15% discount, the original soundtrack by Mark Sparling, and the digital art book featuring work by the Art Director Saffron Aurora. Both will be available for only the first two weeks of launch.

Capy Castaway will be available for PC, Mac, and the Steam Deck. The cost for the game is set at $19.99 and it is a co-op adventure that cozy gamers don’t want to miss out on.
