By comparison, Ubisoft Montreal’s previous open world shooter, Far Cry 3, recommended a 1GB DirectX 11 video card, Intel Core i3-530 and 6GB RAM. Watch Dogs’ recommended settings closely match the leaked “Ultra” settings that briefly appeared on Uplay’s store last October before being taken down.

Watch Dogs is being built on the brand new Disrupt engine, which Ubisoft Montreal created specifically for the game. In addition to simulating physical effects such as rain and wind in stunning detail, it will also allow for cross-platform and cross-generation multiplayer, as well as seamless online connectivity.

Preordering the game will grant players a couple of in-game rewards, namely an extra costume and a special perk called the “Blume Weapon Perk,” which will reduce recoil on shots. A Digital Deluxe edition is also available for $10 more, granting several hours of additional gameplay in the form of missions as well as a grocery list of costumes, weapons, and perks as rewards for completing those missions. Several other editions of the game, such as the Vigilante Edition and Dedsec Edition, can also be preordered.

Originally slated for release in mid-November, Watch Dogs was delayed in order to allow the studio to further fine tune it. You can currently expect it to be released on May 27 this year. The game will also be available for the Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
