State Of Play September 2025: Marvel’s Wolverine, Saros, & More

Over the past few months, many in the gaming community has been speculating what’s next for PlayStation after their recent wave of releases. Now, we have a clearer picture, even after the many rumblings with Insomniac Games’ plans with the possible Venom spin-off and Marvel’s Wolverine. Here’s everything that was announced and revealed during today’s State of Play.

Saros

After officially announcing and revealing its next game earlier this year, today, as they said, Housemarque Games showcased the first look at gameplay for Saros, a spiritual successor to its last title, Returnal. Some of the big gameplay mechanics that Housemarque shared are the Soltari Shield. Players will be able to run into hostile projectiles absorbing their energy. After absorbing the projectiles, players can utilize their Carcosan Power Weapon. The other big ability they talked about is one of the permanent upgrades Second Chance. Players will be able to revive back from their first death. Saros is set to release March 20, 2026.

Zero Parades – For Dead Spies

Zero Parades – For Dead Spies is the next game from the developers of Disco Elysium. Today, we got the official look at gameplay. New gameplay features include dramatic encounters, failing forward and exertion, and conditoning.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the next Xbox Game Studios title coming to PlayStation. A PlayStation VR2 version of the game is also in development and is set to release next year. The game arrives on December 8, 2025.

Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6 is set to release in a few weeks on October 10. Today, Battlefield Studios revealed the first look at the campaign of the game, which makes a return following Battlefield 2042 which was multiplayer only.

Deus Ex Remastered

Deus Ex Remastered is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on February 5, 2026. The new version features enhanced visuals, overhauled controls, and haptic feedback.

Halloween: The Game

Halloween is the next game from an iconic IP  from developer IllFonic. Players can play in multiplayer or in a standalone single-player experience. The game launches on September 8, 2026.

Last Epoch

Last Epoch, the critically acclaimed action RPG will make its way to PlayStation 5 with the first major expansion, Oryboss. It will launch with its genre-defining skill customization, a deep rewarding loot system, and all previous seasonal content.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is a completely original story that set in the world of the iconic Japanese manga and anime series. The game features a deep, fully-featured open-world RPG experience packed with exploration, real-time combat, and player-driven adventure.

Sonic Racing: Crossworld

A Mega Man DLC pack was announced for Sonic Racing: Crossworld. It will come to the game next year. Mega Man and Proto Man will be joining the roster and the pack features a reimaging of Wily Castle.

Nioh 3


A new trailer was released for Nioh 3. The game launches on February 6, 2026.

Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered

Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is a tactical action game set in the world of the Three Kingdoms, where players can become one of over 40 officers ready to fight and experience exhilarating 1 vs. 1,000 battles across vast battlefields. The remaster features enhanced graphics and includes content from Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends which brings more scenarios, officers and weapons to the game. Gameplay mechanics and UI have been refined to stay true to the original while providing a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered launches on March 19, 2026.

Code Vein II

Code Vein II also got a new trailer and release date. The game will launch on January 30, 2026. Set in a future where humans and Revenants coexist, the world teeters on the brink of collapse. A mysterious force known as Luna Rapacis suddenly emerges, turning Revenants into mindless beasts called Horrors. As chaos spreads, humanity faces extinction. The protagonist, a Revenant Hunter must embark on a mission to rewrite fate with the help of a mysterious girl named Lou who has the power to transcend time itself. Players will journey into the past to uncover the origins of the Luna Rapacis and prevent the world’s downfall.

Let it Die: Inferno

Let it Die: Inferno is a roguelite survival action game that builds on the series’ twisted, darkly funny dystopian world. Players will take on the world of an mmortal explorer, called a Raider, and embark on a quest to uncover the ultra-energy hidden within the Hell Gate, a massive chasm born from an unprecedented cataclysm. Within the Hell Gate, all bets are off. In order to survive, players must not only fend off grotesque creatures and human enemies in melee-focused combat, but also other players. It’s roguelite survival action in a chaotic, PvEvP environment.

Chronoscript: The Endless End

Chronoscript: The Endless End is an upcoming exploration-based 2D action-adventure game developed by DeskWorks Inc., the studio behind the award-winning RPG Time! The Legend of Wright, in collaboration with Shueisha Games. The game follows an editor who somehow finds himself trapped inside the manuscript pages of an endless story, penned by a writer who has lived for a thousand years. The game spans into two dimensions: the writer’s mansion, rendered in 3D with countless scattered manuscripts, and the illustrated 2D worlds found within those pages. Players will explore 2D stages spanning thousands of manuscript pages across diverse locations, battling formidable foes carrying grudges from their past lives. Grow stronger through exploration and combat and unveil the story between the writer and the editor.

Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert got a new story trailer focused on the main protagonist Kliff as he sets to reunite his scattered Graymane companions and, in doing so, rally the many forces of Pywel against the evil that threatens the world. Their journey will lead them through enigmatic places and toward the secrets of the powers that lies hidden across Pywel. The game launches on March 19, 2026.

Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers

PlayStation revealed the next addition to its lineup of audio accessories, the Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers. Each speaker features studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers for lifelike sound across the entire audible spectrum. This means players can hear games exactly how developers intended – whether they’re playing on PS5, PC, Mac or PlayStation Portal.

PlayStation Plus

PlayStation shared what’s coming for PlayStation Plus. Alan Wake II, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon are the monthly games available for PlayStation Plus members starting on October 7. The Last of Us Part II Remastered is being added to the Game Catalog on September 26 in celebration of The Last of Us Day. Tekken 3, Soul Calibur III, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary will be making its way to the Classics Catalog.

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo has surpassed 100 million units sold worldwide. So, to celebrate, the developers have announced Spec III, a major update for Gran Turismo 7. The update will feature new tracks, cars, and a host of other fresh features.

Marvel’s Wolverine

After much speculation, leaks, and rumors, Marvel’s Wolverine, the next game from Insomniac, was officially revealed. As with the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, Insomniac wants to deliver a fresh take on the beloved Marvel Comics character.

Not much was revealed about the game’s story but the journey will feature familar faces, like the elusive Mystique and the brutish Omega Red. Some will fight alongside Logan against all odds and others will unleash all-out attacks on our hero, such as the Reavers, one of our enemy factions, who will keep our hero’s instincts on edge.

Marvel’s Wolverine is set to launch in Fall 2026.
