

Following the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater leak and numerous reports, many were assuming that we’d get a new State of Play sometime soon. Yesterday, Sony made it official and revealed that we would be getting a State of Play today featuring a creative and unique selection of exciting games coming to PS5. Here is a rundown of everything that was revealed during the roughly 40-minute presentation.
Monster Hunter: Wilds is set to release at the end of the month on February 28. As we get closer to the release, the developers have shared more information about what players can expect from the game post launch. The game’s first free Major Title Update is set to release in Spring and sees the return of the monster Mizutsune. The devs also revealed that Event Quests will be introduced a week after the game’s launch that comes with special armor that players can earn as rewards.
A new trailer was released for one of SEGA’s legacy franchises. Shinobi: Art of Vengence is set to release on August 29, 2025.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the next major Sonic racing title. The biggest new gameplay feature is the introduction of Travel Rings, which bring dramtic changes to races by transporting players from one world to a completely new location.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger is the next installment in the Digimon Story series. The game is set to release in 2025 and will see players travel between the human world and the fantastic realms of the Digital World – two worlds interlinked in mysterious ways. Players will collect and train Digimon to stop the collapse of the world and change fate itself.
Lost Soul Aside is a new action-focused game that features fluid, fast, and stylish combat. The game follows Kaser’s journey of redemption and discovery. s he uncovers the truth about Arena and their shared power, players will encounter a mix of personal challenges and high-stakes conflicts.The game is set to launch on May 30 on PS5 and PC.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is getting a demo available starting tomorrow at 7:00 am PT and on January 14 12:01 am JST. Like a Dragon is also crossing over with Dave the Diver and features new protagonist Kasuga Ichiban. Ichiban’s Holiday launches in April.
Spligate 2 is having an Alpha out on PS5 on February 27. The game features 8v8v8 multi-team portal warfare taking the portal-based FPS fun of the core 4v4 arena modes from the first game and elevates it to a groundbreaking new 3-team, 24-player battle, all set on a huge, out-of-this-world map. The game is set to launch later this year.
2K and the team behind WWE 2K25 shared the first official look at the Island, WWE’s version of NBA 2K’s Neighborhood.
2K and Gearbox shared a new look at the upcoming Borderlands 4 where it was revealed that the game is set to launch on September 23, 2025. They also announced that a Borderlands 4 focused State of Play will be coming this Spring.
A new trailer was released for Split Fiction, the next game from the makers of It Takes Two, Haze Light. The game follows writers Mio and Zoe who have to work together in order to escape their crazy stories that they miraculously travel into. Split Fiction launches March 6, 2025.
Directive 8020 is the next game from Supermassive Games. The game follows the crew of the Cassiopeiais who are on a mission to help humankind seeking a new home in the stars while Earth is dying. The Cassiopeiais is the initial survey ship sent to scout the chosen planet. However, the crew awakens from their four-year hyper sleep to a hull breach, a murder, and some extremely suspicious crew activity – all of which culminates in the ship crash landing on the planet and the crew having to deal with something entirely alien.
Five Night at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic is the next game in the FNAF franchise. This new game features new animatronics and is set to launch on June 13, 2025.

Warriors: Abyss is availabe today on PS5 and PS4. The game takes the exhilirating Warriors action with roguelite gameplay includin randomly generated stages and items, enhancing player strength through choices, allowing for a different experience with each playthrough and encouraging countless hours of replayability and fun.
The remaster for Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is set to release on May 23, 2025. The update adds more difficulty settings, new quality-of-life features such as the ability to swap weapons without pausing the action and the power to choose when Jubei transforms into an Onimusha. This remaster also packs in modern improvements like auto-saves, skippable cutscenes, multiple aspect ratios, and more.
Capcom also showcased the first official look at the next game in the series, Onimusha: Way of the Sword since its reveal. Way of the Sword follows Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary figure in Japanese history. In the game, Musashi is a fierce young samuari, who finds himself wielding an Oni Gauntlet and battling hordes of demonic Genma.

Days Gone Remastered has been officially announced. The new version launches April 25 and features improved graphical fidelity, increased foliage draw distance, improved shadow and lighting quality, Tempest 3D Audio*, VRR support** and more. There is a new permadeath mode, accessibility features, and a new survival arcade mode called Horde Assault. Players who already own the game can upgrade on both PlayStation and PC for $10.

Metal Eden is a new, sci-fi adrenaline rush FPS where the main focus of the game comes from its unique gameplay mechanic, Core Ripping. Players can rip Cores out of enemies’ bodies. Players can either throw the Core, creating an explosion or consume it. Consuming a core offers different advantages depending on your choices throughout the game – Like empowering your melee attacks, mobility or survivability.
A new trailer was released for MindsEye which is set to release this Summer. MindsEye is a narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the not-too-distant future, in the fictional desert city of Redrock, where artificial intelligence and human greed collide to bring Earth to the precipice of collapse. The game follows Jacob Diaz a former soldier who finds himself haunted by flashbacks of a covert mission that changed his life forever.
Fitted with the mysterious neural implant, known as the MindsEye, Jacob is plagued by fragmented memories and is desperate to uncover the truth about his past. Jacob arrives in Redrock hoping to discover more about the company responsible for creating his implant. His quest for answers starts as a personal journey, but it quickly evolves into something much larger. Jacob isn’t the only one searching for the truth – and the forces working in the shadows may be more powerful and dangerous than he ever imagined.
Saros is the new title from developer Housemarque. Housemarque describes the game as the ultimate evolution of the Housemarque gameplay-first experience. Saros is an action game with the haunting story of a lost off-world colony on Carcosa under an ominous eclipse. You play as Arjun Devraj (played by Rahul Kohli), a powerful Soltari Enforcer who will stop at nothing to find who he is looking for.
The difference between Returnal and Saros is permanent resources and progression which makes every death valuable. After every death, players will face a changed world but will be able to choose and permanently upgrade their loadout from an evolving set of weapons and suit upgrades to “come back stronger” The first look at gameplay will come later this year. Saros will launch in 2026.
