This comes from Twitter/X user, HazzadorGamin who shared a WCCFTech article on Friday, the Starfield leaker who posted a 40-minute gameplay on YouTube (which is now copyright claimed by ZeniMax Online Studios) was arrested for theft of property ranging from $2,500 – $10,000 and possession of marijuana. This was also shared on r/Starfield, but the image post has been removed, it was a picture of the booking list website, RecentlyBooked where it showed the individual’s name and charges.
The individual, Darian Tyron Harris, was booked into Shelby County, Tennessee on Possession of marijuana and two counts of ‘Theft of Property,’ one ranging from $1000 or less and the other $2500 – 10,000.
According to WCCFTech, “In his videos that he uploaded onto social media, the leaker essentially admitted to having stolen goods to sell from the warehouse he worked at, which included multiple copies of Starfield.” Further backing this up, HazzadorGamin and many others shared image listings of early copies of Starfield being sold for hundreds, ranging from the Standard Edition to the Constellation Edition on a Japanese E-commerce site, Mercari.
In response to all of this, Harris uploaded a video (from Mr.Rebs on X) after leaking the game, apologizing to Todd Howard saying,”Todd, no offense man, you got a good game….They were saying I play like a beginner cause I’m not a game expert I was just trying something out. That’s a good game y’all don’t want to miss it.”

With the release of Starfield being around the corner, and for some even as early as next week, chances for any more major leaks are low. Regardless for any game, you’re going to have leaks and early copies, but with Starfield, the largest leaker for the game has been caught.
Starfield officially releases for Xbox Series X/S console and PC on September 6th.
