This comes directly from Bethesda Games Studios on Twitter, announcing the preloads for Starfield on the Xbox Series consoles and Windows PC, which starts tomorrow August 17th, and August 30th for Steam. There are multiple editions for Starfield that you can purchase. Some of the editions will get you early access to the game, which includes the Digital Premium Edition, and the $300 Constellation Edition. The ladder is currently out of stock, so your best bet if you want to play the game early is to buy the Premium Edition($119.74) which gets you those 5 days of early access on September 1st, as well as some other goodies, like the first expansion
If you are contempt on waiting, the Standard Edition will run you $70 which includes the base game. You can still upgrade to the Premium Edition if you already have the standard game pre-ordered. That upgrade will run you $35, so if you do the math, it will be less to upgrade, but the upgrade is only valid on Xbox Series X/S and Windows copies. Sorry Steam users.
Currently, Starfield is among the ‘Top Sellers’ on Steam, right behind the Steam Deck, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The top seller still remains Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3. You can pre-order Starfield now for Xbox Series X/S consoles, and on PC storefronts like Steam.
