For players who haven’t yet had the chance to try out the Star Wars: Battlefront II beta, there still is time to do so. EA has extended the beta for an extra two days. The announcement was made by the official EAStarWars Twitter account along with an interesting gif.
This extension is meant to give players a little more time to see what the game will have in store. The beta began for those who preordered the game on October 4th and later opened for everyone else on the 6th and will now officially end Wednesday October 11th. However, EA did not give any specific reason as to why they made the decision or if any new content will be added during the extension period. However no one is complaining about the extra play time.
During the beta, players can engage in four sample modes: Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, Strike, are all online multiplayer modes that vary in the range of maximum player allowances with Galactic Assault allowing the most players at 40. The last game mode, Arcade is a 1-2 player mode that will support an offline split screen mode. The campaign mode isn’t accessible to players within the beta but the multiplayer features of the game are well covered.
Players also got a sample of the game’s microtransaction system which has been described as “exploitative and greedy”. Aside from that, the feedback for the game has been mostly positive. Star Wars: Battlefront II will officially release for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17.
