Very few franchises have cultivated as many fans over such a large period of time as Star Trek. From the shows to the movies over the years, many have dreamed what it would be like to travel across the stars in a spaceship of their own. Now the franchise once again dives into the world of video games with the upcoming release of Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown. Recently, a release date trailer and personal log trailer from Tom Paris have given fans an idea of what the game will look like on release.
According to the Steam store page, Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown is build both to reward fans of the original show while also offering them the opportunity to see what would have happened if they had chosen differently. Each choice to research dangerous technology or choose diplomacy over violence is set to have consequences to the ultimate goal of returning home. Even if similar choices are made between playthroughs, the game will also change based on random factors through its rogue-like elements.
In order to complete the immersion, the characters of Tuvok and Tom Paris will give fully voiced logs from their original actors. To show this off, the game revealed a personal log where Tom Paris describes the state of the ship, which has changed drastically from what fans of the show would recognize. The trailer even ends with Voyager flying alongside the normally hostile Borg, something that would have doomed the crew in the original story.
The release date trailer shows off some of the grander shots of the game, looking at the large map of stars or the ship illuminated by sunlight. With the game fast approaching, many have begun discussing moments of the show that spark debate once again. Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown will be available for consoles and PC on February 18th, 2026.
