Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment are teaming up with the Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER) to raise money towards bullying prevention. The campaign, called #EverydayHeroes, takes its name straight from the Everyday Heroes contest in Life Is Strange where themes of bullying were heavily addressed over the course of the game’s five episodes. A video featuring Ashly Burch, voice of Life Is Strange‘s Chloe, was released alongside the announcement.
The campaign asks supporters to share their own stories of standing up to bullying and overcoming adversity with the hastag #EverydayHeroes on social media. Every post that uses the hashtag from now until January 19th will increase Square Enix’s donation to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. The amount Square Enix will be donating with every post was not revealed.
A live feed of tweets using the hashtag is displayed on a new page on the Life Is Strange site dedicated to the campaign.
